Before moving from the Pacific Northwest to the sunny state of Arizona, I spent months evaluating my possessions. I had limited space in my car and trailer and needed to part with about half of what I owned. This began as a burdened process, but quickly became emotionally freeing. During this process, I was reminded of a verse from the Gospel of Matthew:

Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Matthew 6: 19 - 21

While God intends for us to be content on earth, we are warned not to value our possessions as treasures. I have been so inspired by this word and the convictions within me brought on by the Holy Spirit, that I have begun living my life simply; as a minimalist. God has commanded that my heart belongs to him. For me to be the woman of God that he has intended for me, that I need to be her; and I need to be her simply.

Throughout my journey towards simple living and growing my relationship with Christ, I was lucky to have friends, family, and resources to help guild me. I realize that not everyone has these same resources, so I have dedicated this site to host those resources and a Christ-centered community.
